Join National Waste Week with The Pod
Eco -Schools have teamed up with The Pod to bring you a brand new national waste campaign taking place from the 12th-18th March 2012. Waste Week focuses on the waste associated with food eaten in school, and was created to support the Eco-Schools waste topic. It is centred around the Pod’s great new waste activity; 'Lunchtime Crunchtime'.
Why get involved in Waste Week?
Waste Week is a brilliant opportunity to encourage the whole school to learn about food waste, and think about how they can reduce the amount of waste going to landfill by re-using, recycling and composting.
Participating in Waste Week supports different stages of the Eco-Schools accreditation process, so whether you’re just getting started or actively working towards an award; being a part of the Pod’s Waste Week campaign can help you get those Bronze, Silver and Green flags!
The Pod have 2000 free campaign packs to give away on a first come, first served basis to schools that sign up to Waste Week. The packs for their last campaign, Switch-Off Fortnight, went fast, so sign up to Waste Week now to avoid disappointment.
