Congratulations Maddie and Jake

Congratulations Maddie at Tillingbourne Junior School, Surrey, and Jake from Balcombe CofE Primary School, for winning the Plastic Planet Challenge launched on UN World Environment Day! Your Litter Things Matter designs for refillable water bottles will inspire people to beat plastic pollution!

The ‘Litter Things Matter’ bottles will go on sale in the new year to raise money for plastic pollution education projects and charities working to support animals effected by plastic pollution. To be notified when they are available to buy, please email: info@wastebuster.co.uk

The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Environment and Rural Life Opportunities, Thérèse Coffey, sent a personal video message to Maddie and her school to congratulate them on 'her imaginary turtle design' for the reusable water bottles. She then went on to express her concern about the damage plastic waste can do to our sea mammals and that we all needed to take action now.
