Be a recycling hero and spread the word of how to recycle right in your home!

Here is your challenge!

  1. Take your Wastebuster Home Challenge sheet home
  2. Circle 15 things inside the house on your sheet that can be recycled
  3. Return that part of your sheet to your teacher
  4. With your parents help, find out what can be recycled in your home and add any items that aren’t already on the recycling check-list to your sheet
  5. Get creative! Make your recycling list look fun and funky
  6. With your parents help, put your list up somewhere everybody will see

Special mission for recycling superheroes

Take a pic of your recycling checklist and send it to me and Pong in the spaceship by emailing it to: captainbusta@wastebuster.co.uk - remember we need your first name, your school's name and postcode. You could even win an iPad! Ooooooh!

All recycling heroes sending in pictures could also be selected to win a Wastebuster goody bag containing an exclusive pack of Wastebuster Top Trumps and Recycling Hero Badges!

Teachers! This bit’s for you...

Wastebuster are offering schools the chance to win £500 if they get the most pupils recycling at home with this fun homework activity.

  1. Show children in your school the Wastebuster Home Challenge video and call to action (above)
  2. Download and photocopy the Wastebuster Home Challenge activity sheet (one per pupil)
  3. Ask pupils to return the school competition part of the activity sheet
  4. Keep your sheets somewhere safe - we will need to count them if you win. Email your results to captainbusta@wastebuster.co.uk with your schools' name and postcode and if you get more, just let us know and we'll add them on.
  5. The top 10 schools will appear on the Home Challenge leader board (below). The school with the highest % of pupils returning their Home Challenge sheet will win the competition!
