St Edmunds is an active Eco School and won the Wastebuster Surrey pilot competition.
St Polycarp's has it's second Green Flag. In 2009 we became the first school in Surrey to be awarded the Level 3 accreditation for sustainable learning.
Since 2004 St Polycarp's Catholic Primary School in Farnham, Surrey, has strived to encourage the whole school community to be more aware of environmental matters.
In 2007 we were awarded our second Green Flag and are now hopefully on our way to our third. We have received Level 1, 2 and 3 Certificates for sustainable learning from the Energy Saving Trust.
The school recycles everything from foil, ink cartridges, paper, cardboard, mobile phones and textiles. Our children are encouraged to use the Pegasus school buses or walk to school when ever they can. St Polycarp's were very actively involved in a local campaign to ban plastic bags, with the children designing and making their own shopping bags.
We also have our own garden and wildlife area.
The Eco School assessor commented that 'Everyone at St Polycarp's is committed to their Eco-code and it is purely second nature in their every day activities'.
At Sandfield Prmary School we work hard to do all that we can to care for our world. We are very proud of the Solar Panels on our school roof, our class recycling bins, our composters and all the work that we do.
Our School Gardeners work hard to keep our school grounds looking award winningly great, and our World Carers remind everyone about switching off lights and recycling.
Weyfield School recycles it's card, paper, glass, plastic bottles and cans. We also recycle clothing and shoes and have 6 compost bins to recycle food waste and reuse it on our gardens.
