Primary and secondary schools across West Sussex can book free assemblies delivered by the West Sussex Waste Partnership to support waste prevention and recycling in schools.
These engaging, age-appropriate assemblies help pupils understand why waste matters, how everyday choices make a difference, and what they can do to reduce waste and recycle right – both at school and at home.
Inspire action with an in-school visit.
Wastebuster assemblies delivered by the West Sussex Waste Partnership are designed to inspire action, spark discussion, and empower pupils to be part of the solution. They work particularly well as:
· A launch event for a waste-busting or recycling campaign
· A way to reinforce existing environmental learning
· Support for whole-school initiatives such as Waste Week, eco councils or sustainability projects.
· Primary schools can kick off a Planet Protector Award mission with an assembly
Suitable for both primary and secondary schools, assemblies are tailored to the age group and reflect real waste and recycling issues in West Sussex. Pupils leave with simple, achievable actions they can take straight away, helping schools turn learning into lasting behaviour change.
Support your school’s environmental work with a free, engaging assembly that helps pupils become confident Wastebusters.
