West Sussex schools can now download their free Wastebusters Starter Pack, giving you practical tools, resources and activities to help reduce waste and get your whole school taking environmental action.

Funded by the West Sussex Waste Partnership, the West Sussex Schools Waste & Climate Action Programme is free for schools and designed to make it easier to turn sustainability plans into practical action.

Your Primary Starter Pack gives you everything you need to get started.

At the heart of the pack is the Wastebusters School Eco-Policy – a practical tool to help your school identify ways to use resources more efficiently and turn environmental ambitions into action.

You’ll also find the ready-to-use fun and engaging Recycle it Right Assembly & Recycling Relay Activity, a Year Planner linking you to activities throughout the year, and posters to get the whole school involved.

The Secondary Starter Pack provides a practical starting point for whole-school environmental action.

Use the Wastebusters School Eco-Policy to help identify ways your school can use resources more efficiently and turn environmental ambitions into action, alongside a Year Planner of key opportunities and posters to engage students and staff.

You can then take things further with the online Climate Action Planner, Quick Guides, Resource Library and Savings Account to plan, deliver and track your progress.

And this is just the start! We’ve got lots of new activities, campaigns and opportunities coming for West Sussex schools throughout the academic year, so keep an eye on our emails and check back on the website for the latest news.
