Meet your school's recycling and sustainability support

Did you know your school has direct access to support from the Community Engagement Coordinator at Cheshire West Recycling?

Whether you'd like an inspiring assembly on food waste, a lively classroom discussion about recycling, or help to kick-start your school's recycling scheme, our Community Engagement Coordinator, Gareth Kelly (Gareth.Kelly@cwrecycling.co.uk), is here to help schools across Cheshire West and Chester bring sustainability to life.

Gareth collaborates with teachers, eco-teams and school leaders to deliver engaging and practical sustainability education as part of the Cheshire West and Chester Schools Waste Action Programme, funded by Cheshire West Recycling. He supports pupils in developing the knowledge and skills to reduce waste, recycle right and cut carbon, and provides staff with expert guidance on embedding sustainable practices throughout the school.

Drawing on his educational background and experience in community engagement, Gareth helps schools turn ideas into measurable action, from launching new recycling schemes and running themed assemblies to tracking progress and celebrating success. His hands-on approach ensures that environmental learning is not only informative but also inspires lasting change within schools and their wider communities.

As part of the Cheshire West and Chester Schools Waste Action Programme, schools can now work with Gareth to measure their progress, celebrate success and build a whole-school culture of sustainability.

Whether you're just getting started or looking to take your efforts to the next level, get in touch to find out how he can support your school.
