Your Eco-Badge Book

The Eco-Badge Book is both a diary of your school’s environmental activities and a record of your achievements.

By using Wastebuster activities and completing a diary entry, you can earn achievement badges and work towards a Starter, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Ambassador award for your school.

Achievement Awards & Prizes

Ambassador Award

If a school receives 12+ badges including at least 1 homework special badge they get an Ambassador Award

Gold Award

If a school receives 9 badges including at least 1 homework special badge they get a Gold Award

Silver Award

If a school receives 6 badges including at least 1 homework special badge they get a Silver Award

Bronze Award

If a school receives 3 badges including at least 1 homework special badge they get a Bronze Award

Silver award winning schools: win a set of Wastebuster Top Trumps and 10 eco-team reward badges made of recycled yogurt pots

Gold Award winning schools: win a Wastebuster special assembly video featuring the Wastebuster characters, congratulating pupils for their achievement

Ambassador Award winning schools: win a special achievement certificate and web banner, the Wastebuster special assembly video and an Eco-Team Wastebuster Reporters and Reward Pack*

* Schools will be notified of any prizes earned and prizes will be delivered to schools within the academic year the activities were completed.
Final diary entries must be made by the 18th June 2024.

All Wastebuster special activities are worth 2-badges if completed, as they are seasonal or home learning activities designed to encourage wastebusting in school, and at home throughout the school year.
